The Game Pit: Episode 67 - Dungeon Crawler Pit Fight

This time around we return to our most ruthless format. Four games enter but only one game will leave as the Co-Operative Dungeon Crawler Champion of The Game Pit.

Our four contestants are Descent 2.0: Road to Legend, The Legends of Andor, The Wrath of Ashardalon and Zombicide: Black Plague.

Sean and Ronan discuss each of the titles over a range of categories and then rank the games from 4 to 1. In the end the highest rated game over both lists walks away victorious.

The Game Pit: Episode 66 - Scythe and more....

One of the biggest releases of the year, Scythe forms the main review in this episode as the Pit returns to it's regular format.

Ronan and Sean (back from his travels) are joined from what sounds like his toilet by our old favourite, Steve.

In the first part, the three discuss games they have been playing or are excited about for one reason or another and these include The Walking Dead: No Sanctuary, Mansions of Madness: Second Edition and Ghost Stories.

The Game Pit: Episode 54 - Essen 2015 - The Good, The Bad and The Surprising

After working their way through the Essen Spiel halls and the playing as many of the Essen 2015 releases as they could get their dirty mitts on, Ronan and Sean come to a decision on what the feel was the best and worst of this years Spiel.

In the episode each of the boys choose their Top 3, Biggest Disappointment and Biggest Surprise.

 

The Game Pit: Episode 53 - Essen 2015 Field Report 2

Ronan has flown into Essen and the two boys have worked their way round the Spiel halls on the Friday (supervised by Natalie) in order to play, demo and buy a host of games.

Listen as they discuss the merits of all played and lament the amount of games purchased by both despite plans made to avoid such an occurrence.

Ronan will be back at Spiel again on Saturday 10th Oct to man The Dice Tower booth (Hall 7 at 12:00) and bring you the third and final field report. 

The Game Pit: Episode 51 - Treasure Hunt Essen 2015 Part 3

In this, the last of their Essen previews Sean and Ronan mull over and make predictions on another dozen games including Dilluvia Project, Rattle Battle Grab the Loot, Xenon Profiteer, Mistfall, Guns & Steel, Posthuman and more.

Only these two could get in a 'heated discussion' about a game they've never played and one game in particular sets off a barrage of squeaking and indignation.

Now the boys are off to Essen to hopefully play the games they have previewed an more!

The Game Pit: Episode 47 - Solo Game Pit Fight

As Sean is unwell, Ronan hauls himself out of the pit and takes to the solo podcasting seas with a Pit Fight episode on games that can be played solo.

Thrown against each other in the show are Friday, Sylvion and Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.
